Moving to Phoenix Actually Regulated my Nervous System
Apr 02, 2026
Your Nervous System Is Not Dysregulated. It May Be Mismatched to Your Environment.
There is a conversation happening right now around nervous system regulation.
More practices. More tools. More ways to calm your body down.
And yet so many high-achieving women are still feeling overstimulated, exhausted, and disconnected.
Because the issue is not always regulation.
Sometimes the issue is where you are placing yourself every single day.
Your environment is not neutral. It is either supporting your nervous system or working against it.
And most people have never been taught how to choose environments that are actually correct for them.
This is where Human Design shifts everything.
Environment Is Not Aesthetic. It Is Energetic Accuracy.
When I moved to Phoenix, I believed I was choosing peace.
Less noise. Less responsibility. Less pressure.
And externally, that was true.
However internally, something still felt off.
It was not until I found Human Design that I understood why.
My system is designed for Kitchens Dry environments.
And this is where the nuance matters.
What “Kitchens Dry” Actually Means
This is not just a metaphor. This is not just about preference.
This is about how your body processes the world around you.
Dryness matters.
Humidity impacts me in a very real way. It creates a heaviness in my body. My energy slows. My clarity dulls. My nervous system feels subtly compressed over time.
In dry climates, everything shifts.
There is lightness. There is separation. There is space for my energy to move cleanly.
Phoenix supports that part of my design in a way I did not fully understand before I lived it.
And then there is the energetic layer.
Kitchens Dry environments are about intentional interaction.
Spaces where there is life, movement, and conversation, however it is curated. Chosen. Refined.
Not constant exposure. Not chaotic input.
Selective energy.
This is where my system regulates.
Not in isolation. Not in overstimulation.
In intentional proximity.
Why This Changes Everything
Most people are trying to regulate their nervous system while staying in environments that are inherently dysregulating for them.
No amount of breathwork will override a misaligned environment long term.
No routine will fix what your body is constantly reacting to.
When your environment is correct:
Your body softens without effort. Your clarity sharpens without forcing it. Your energy becomes sustainable.
This is not something you have to manage.
It is something you align with.
BTW - Environment really starts to matter after we turn 30.
This Is One Way Back to Yourself
Environment is just one entry point.
One way to begin regulating your system through alignment instead of control.
There are others.
Because your nervous system is also deeply impacted by how you make decisions, how your energy is designed to operate, and where you are unconsciously overriding yourself.
I will be speaking to one of the most common burnout patterns I see next.
Because it is not just where you are.
It is also what you are saying yes to.
If you have been trying to fix your nervous system, this is your invitation to look at something deeper.
Where are you placing yourself daily?
And is your body actually supported there?
This is the work.
Not controlling your system. Aligning your life so your system can finally exhale.
Lead Aligned
The next evolution of your leadership is not about doing more.
It is about leading in a way your body can actually hold.
Lead Aligned is where we take this work deeper. Into your decisions. Your environment. Your energy. Your leadership.
The waitlist is now open for the next cohort beginning in August.
Those on the waitlist will receive early access and special pricing.
If you are ready to lead from alignment instead of obligation, this is your space.
You are not here to override your system. You are here to trust it.
And build everything from there.
